Supervised Visitation

If the court finds that spending time alone with a parent is potentially harmful, the court can order supervised visitation.

To order supervised visitation, a judge must be convinced that the child is at risk when alone with the parent in question.

If your child has either suffered harm or been exposed to danger in the other parent’s care, we can help you secure supervised visitation in order to ensure your child’s safety. In addition to ordering supervised parenting, courts can also issue orders of protection prohibiting or limiting contact, order a parent to take a drug or alcohol test, or mandate that exchanges take place in a public place, supervised visitation center, or police precinct.

Our lawyers have experience utilizing a variety of methods to ensure that a child is protected from risk caused by a parent’s behavior and can aid you in being certain that your child is safe.
